The Team Behind Our Work

At Apis Creative, our leadership team brings together deep experience in strategy, design, communication, and project management. We work closely with clients to deliver creative solutions that are thoughtful, effective, and built to last. Every project is a partnership — and it starts with the people you see here.

Bethany is a powerhouse communicator and equanimous leader who has served as a business communications specialist since 1995 and is now founder, president, and CEO of Apis Creative. Her quiet confidence and effortless versatility have led her to excel in a variety of communications roles, including strategist, project manager, team leader, content developer, editor, curriculum designer, and meeting and workshop facilitator.

A graduate of West Virginia University with a BA in secondary education, Bethany began her career at Alula (formerly The Continuous Learning Group), a management consulting firm that works with Fortune 500 clients to improve their business practices. She then spent a decade leading the technical writing team at the National Energy Technology Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Energy fossil fuels research facility. During that time, she served on the board of directors for the National Association of Government Communicators,  and she and her team won multiple awards for the laboratory’s Office of Public Affairs.

Bethany now donates her time as a member of the Joint Governing Board and the Mountain HSTA local governing board for the West Virginia Health Sciences and Technology Academy (HSTA), a college preparatory program for underserved high school students that helps them enter and succeed in healthcare and other STEM careers. She is also an active member of the Morgantown Area Partnership’s Government Affairs Committee.

Natasha oversees Apis's accounting, customer service, product and materials production, and administration. She has been with us since its founding in 2018.

Before joining Apis, Natasha worked as an executive assistant, administrative specialist, and document designer for such companies as AACE International, Alpha Associates Inc., Appalachia Pest Control, the West Virginia University Dental School, and Omnicare. Her punctuality, work ethic, and organizational, event coordination, and interpersonal skills make her a highly valuable member of the Apis team.

Natasha has a passion for fashion design-build. She worked in merchandising with the Gabriel Brothers retail chain before becoming a mom to her two beautiful children. She continues to spend time conceiving and creating clothing and accessories, and her babies are the best dressed in the neighborhood.
